Established in 1972 S.K.H. Crown of Thorns Church Kindergarten is formerly known as ‘S.K.H. Crown of Thorns Church Kindergarten.’ Due to reconstruction work in Texaco Road, the Crown of Thorns Church was demolished with the building of the new Church completed in 2002. Soon after the completion, the kindergarten regained its role as a pre-primary institution, offering quality early childhood education to children in the region. In appreciation of Dr. Kathleen Ko for her support towards early-childhood education, the kindergarten has beem named after her husband. The transliteration「士德」has been adopted in its Chinese name, in which 「士」means scholars, and 「德」means virtue, to wish every of the centre’s children wisdom and high moral qualities.

Monday, 30 March is Teacher Development Day. All students will have a day off
The Easter Celebration will be held on Friday, 27 March. Students should wear their school uniform and must wear their name badge. Slippers, Crocs-style shoes, and lace-up shoes are not allowed. Students should bring their birthday bag, a water bottle with a shoulder strap, a snack box, and a mask box (if applicable) to school. ＊The school will provide cake and fruit as snacks for students who have paid the snack fee for the next term. ＊Students do not need to bring snacks or gifts for sharing or distribution.
The birthday party for February and March will be held on Friday, 13 March, with the theme “Letterlander World.” Students may dress as Letterlander characters or wear light and comfortable casual clothing. They must wear their name badge and should not wear slippers, Crocs-style shoes, or lace-up shoes. Students should bring their birthday bag, a water bottle with a shoulder strap, a snack box, and a mask box (if applicable) to school.
To enhance K3 students’ understanding of the Legislative Council and to nurture them to become good citizens, the school has arranged visits to the Hong Kong Legislative Council Complex on Thursday, 12 March and Thursday, 26 March.
The whole-school parent–child outing will be held on Saturday, 7 March at Kam Tin Country Club. Parents who have registered are reminded to refer to the Travel Reminder distributed on Tuesday, 3 March. The meeting time and place will follow the information stated in the reminder.
